Compatibility Fun

Just a little heads up for all of you charging ahead on your (forced) upgrade path.

Blackberry and Outlook 2010 do not play nicely. If you’re using a Blackberry with the desktop manager software along with Outlook – upgrading to 2010 will break that setup. According to blackberry it’s a known issue but they have no resolution date as of yet. More info…

OS X Snow Leopard now has Exchange support. But only Exchange 2007 – so plan on an Exchange server upgrade if you want to make use of that functionality.

Beware the PDF or ” Subject: setting for your mailbox are changed”

If you get an e-mail with an attachment of a PDF with hints of having to change your e-mail settings, don’t open it as it has a virus payload.

Windows 7 Flavors

If you run a windows domain in your office – you must use Windows 7 Business or Windows 7 Ultimate.   If you’re purchasing new machines for your office, make sure you get one or the other or it will not work nicely with your office system.
